Life in layers

For decades, her work has moved between different disciplines, stories and places. From intimate portraits to large-scale series, from water-based painting techniques to explosions of colour on plexiglass, what remains is her signature: nonchalance chic, intuitive and bold at the same time.

Every work is an encounter. Between colour and figure. Between her feeling and that of the viewer. Abstract backgrounds carry figures that are not painted over, but appear. Layer by layer, until they come to life.

Studio

The heart
of the art

The studio is the heart of her practice. A place of concentration, silence and occasional music, where works come into being as they are meant to: without plan, but with intention.

Every first weekend of the month, Atelier Christine Comyn opens the doors of its studio. An invitation to step into the heart of her creative process: where every work on canvas emerges from silence, intuition and paint. Visit the studio freely between 11am and 7pm. Everything unfolds by feel: without a fixed programme, with a changing presentation.

Events

During the Easter weekend of April 4, 5 and 6, we will once again open the doors of the studio. You are welcome to drop in freely between 11am and 7pm, take your time and experience the work in the place where it comes to life. We look forward to welcoming you. Again, or for the first time.
